The Complete Umrah Pilgrimage Guide
Performing Umrah is a profound spiritual experience. Our guide helps you prepare for every ritual with devotion and correctness.
1. Preparation and Ihram
Before reaching the Miqat, one should perform Ghusl, trim nails, and put on the Ihram garments. The intention (Niyyah) should be made with the words: "Labbayka Allahumma Umrah."
2. Tawaf al-Umrah
Upon entering Masjid al-Haram, proceed to the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) and begin seven rounds of circumambulation around the Kabah. Each round begins and ends at the Black Stone.
3. Sa'i between Safa and Marwa
Perform seven walks between the hills of Safa and Marwa. This ritual commemorates the search for water by Hajar (AS) for her son Ismail (AS).
4. Halq or Taqsir
The final step is the shortening or shaving of the hair. For men, shaving (Halq) is preferred, while for women, a small lock of hair is trimmed (Taqsir).
